The Cohesion Don Bosco was developed according to the concept of "The Cohesion Urban Village"; a city village as a campus. Don Bosco is part of the renovation of the Amsterdam New West Center that is now under construction. The 90 x 90 meter plot contains a parking garage for 200 cars, a large supermarket, shops, bicycle shed, internal expedition street, 429 homes, Co-working and other communal facilities that fit the vision of The Cohesion coliving. An unprecedented density and mix of functions. An urban village as a campus in the city."Bravoure in Osdorp" as SBB the builder of Don Bosco calls it.
Not a closed building block on an (anonymous) plinth of shops, but the blocks are on the ground. Clear all-sided residential blocks provide diversity to the shopping street as well as the inner area of the residential environment as conceived and designed by Studio Ninedots.

The Cohesion Don Bosco became operational in the summer of 2020 in the midst of the corona pandemic.The concept of "Urban Village" has worked out well both as a campus model and as a mixed used model.A lively and involved community has arisen here that provides an added value to an inclusive Osdorpplein. Therefore a justified nomination for both categories.
